Comments
Comments: We started as a crew of 2 - snowshoes door to door. About halfway in, we heard a familiar voice and added a third to our crew quite happily. Down low there were some bare boot prints where the snow depth was less and we smoothed things out with our shoes. There was evidence of butt sledding so a few places we went around to get better purchase with our snowshoes. The bare boot tracks ended less than a mile in and we had a inch or two of fluff over the packed trail and higher up there was quite a bit more snow and some drifting. The summit cone had good grippy snow with only a few icy spots which were easily avoidable. With the storm coming in, this report will self destruct in less than 2 hours. It was a balmy -9 degrees when we started and 5 degrees when we finished. This was a good roll of the dice to squeeze another peak in before the weather turns.
