Comments
Comments: Bare booted up to the junction of AZ and Avalon, then snow shoes up and back to the car. From Field to Willey was not broken so I broke out until the Krumholtz about half way. I was getting caught in fir-traps and since I was by myself I decided to turn back and head towards Mt. Tom. But no sooner than I turned around, I saw another hiker heading my way who's name was Caleb. We decided to plow our way to Willey and since he was still in his 20's he took the lead. I had to pull him out of one hole and we struggled to find the trail in several places, but we made it to Willey. I never made it over to Tom but what a beautiful day and I was very lucky that Caleb arrived when he did. There was one other hiker in snow shoes that we passed on the way back, so that trail is totally broken out now!
