Comments
Comments: What a day we had. It was snowshoes to LOTC and then I went to K10’s the rest of the day. Most switched from snowshoes to spikes or crampons for above treeline travel. Spikes would have been fine, but extra bite was helpful in a few spots. The only deep snow above treeline was for about .25 going up Gulfside to Adams. Madison was tougher, with not nearly as much coverage and lot of exposed rock. Valley Way was well packed out, and we did not need to switch to snowshoes for the descent.
