All these trails are a packed highway. Barebooted Avalon Trail til the intersection with A-Z trail. Didn’t bring spikes so we put on snowshoes to get up Avalon and wore them the rest of the day. Could definitely get away with just spikes though there were quite a few post holes throughout and some softer spots getting up Willey. Blue sky amazing day. The snowpack is so high that you’re getting incredible views on these normally viewless trails. Other notes: Willey Range Trail going past the Webster Cliffs viewpoint is not broken out. A-Z trail going down towards Zealand Hut is broken out and looked well packed. Conditions right now are perfect. Get these while you can |
