Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Winter hiking friends: please do not hike or snowshoe on the ski trail. While there is parking at the ski trailhead, the hiking trailhead is 2/10 of a mile east on the Kancamangus. Drop off your party, park the car, and walk back, or just walk to the hiking TH. The lot for the hiking trail is not plowed. When you hike or snowshoe on the ski trail, it makes skiing difficult because the snowshoes or boots create a narrow, icy rut that is challenging for skiing, especially on descent. The hiking trail is also a much better trail for hiking!

Comments
Comments: Please see above about parking.
Unfortunately, several parties had been up and down the ski trail on snowshoes, making the skiing on the trail suboptimal, especially descending. There were some damp places in the last 20% before the height of land at the Mount Osceola Trail junction.
