Comments
Comments: We walked the road up until the house with the signs about the dogs. There was fresh snow today, maybe 4 inches down here and still falling but it was somewhat plowed and snowmobiled. The trail had a faint trench from maybe one person before, so the breaking wasn’t too difficult but very unconsolidated still. The trees up higher were bending over and the drifts erased the tracks, but the trail is blazed well and not too hard to find. We were able to get in both the cabin and tower. One of us went on to the other summit bump, but the trail was very difficult with the deep snow up here. I gave up half way, knowing that it is no higher than the tower bump. There was some confusion here because a sign seemed to be missing and we missed a left turn trying to follow the AT. Anyway, that’s not an issue if you’re just going up to the tower, which is right behind the cabin.
