3 of us on snowshoes went up Valley way to the hut, then summited with light traction. More new snow than we anticipated: 6 inches over the packed trail at the bottom increased to 12 toward the tent site, drifts of 24” in some areas above that to about treeline. Summit was packed drifts and exposed rock. Trail packed again for now. |
