Comments: 4 b*tches, two human, two canine. Snowshoes door to door. Passed two boys at the beginning of blueberry ledge trail, not sure if they did the whole loop but if they did, you’re welcome for breaking it out. Packed trail with soft snow on top until close to the ledges where we encountered some seriously deep drifting and a couple spruce traps, but my stubborn older pup insisted on breaking trail for us still. If the route is messed up it’s her fault. Ledges were covered in deep drifting but were easily managed. Saw one set of snowshoe tracks at the start of Rollins trail but quickly encounter more drifting & untouched terrain. Between summits we caught up to snowshoe tracks that were more recent. Seems like someone broke trail yesterday until they were close to the whiteface summit then turned around. Once we got to dicey mills the trail up to passaconway had seen a lot more traffic. Still soft but a lot more packed. Heading down passaconaway we saw a lot more hikers out, hopefully they enjoyed my new Bluetooth speaker blasting thirst trap queen music & our gleefulness from multiple summit shots. Leave no trace, only twerks. Dicey Mill should be nicely packed after today but will still require snowshoes. Unless you’re that person.
