Great midweek hike today, spikes on Crawford Path until the trail starts getting a little messy with the the snow chunks coming off the trees, snowshoes the rest of the hike, couldve put on spikes from Jackson to 302 but I opted for the bigger bite, 25+mph winds heading to Eisenhower was fun getting used to, pretty exposed so I didn't spend too much time at the top, beautiful views though! Saw a fellow heading for Eisenhower as I was halfway down and then crickets for the remaining 5 hours of the hike, couple spots I got turned around a bit by different sets of tracks, some minor drifting there, awesome views from Pierce and Jackson, and Bugle Cliff near the end. |
