Trail is in great condition, thank you to the snowshoers who packed this trial down very well! Used microspikes the whole way, and did not sink in at all. Began at 8:30 this morning and the only people I ran across on trail were hanging out at the Lake, so a quiet day. The only part of the trail that has not been broken out is from the ridge to the Kinsman Pond shelter & pond. It has only seen bare boots. There were 2 guys going up to stay at the shelter, so hopefully they pack down the trail with snowshoes. Otherwise, magical day out there with incredible views of the Franconia Ridge. |
