 | Comments: |
Path was well packed and easy to follow except for a few drifted sections. In particular, the ridge line from the vernal pool to the first outlook, about 1/3 mile, required care to follow. This was a harmless lesson about windward sections with hardwoods- that type of detail in the AMC Guide are not meaningless!
Great views from Pike’s. Clear view of the Pemi Valley and high peaks of WMNF: Moosilaukee, Franconia Ridge, Bonds, Osceolas, Tecumseh, and Washington (40 miles away!).
