 | Comments: |
Mt. Prospect Trail was fairly well packed for the first half, but decreasingly so thereafter. Side trails not so much (or at all) following the recent snow events (plenty of untracked powder). Fortunately most folks today were using snowshoes, so trails are in fairly good shape (snow got sticky in a few sunny places briefly today, but not much melting).
Snowshoes are strongly advised with Saturday's warm forecast, as we haven't had a legit freeze/thaw in over a month, so Microspikers will be postholing, and any carnage will likely be frozen in place with the forecast deep freeze to follow. Please be considerate and wear snowshoes.
Beautiful sunny afternoon with temperatures just above freezing. |
