Comments
Comments: Someone pinch me because my snowshoes went for a free ride today, so this must be a dream. I can't tell you the last hike where I didn't need them. Obviously this report will self-destruct after tonight and tomorrow's weather but holy cow, what lovely trail conditions. Down low the snow is kind of granular and there are some icy stretches. Up higher it's just a packed super highway of almost holy and sacred proportions. I mean, even the steeps were doable ascending and descending UPRIGHT, in good spikes. I kept waiting for the trail conditions to change so I needed the shoes, and it just never happened. I hope the rain just solidifies the base and it stays this good. Just wow!
