 | Comments: |
Picked up another inch or two of snow Friday morning and temperatures never ended up warming much, so the work week ended up being a net gain in snowpack.
Apart from the snowmobile portion, the trail was VERY soft this afternoon. Someone slid down the trail today, and particularly on the upper half of the trail, whenever they walked, they installed gonad-deep postholes. There is a lot of snow up here and it hasn't consolidated yet, so if you insist on hiking in Microspikes instead of snowshoes, use the groomed snowmobile trail.
Misty afternoon with temperatures around freezing. |
