Comments
Comments: Deadly Mashed Potatoes! The North Slide was sloggy enough going up, but the South Slide was spring snow hell. Imagine sinking in 3+ feet with every step and playing roulette with the bones in your legs. Snowshoes are also a bit of a hazard there. Stay away from the South Slide. Prepare to slog and fall in holes everywhere else. On the North Slide going up, crampons & ice axe are still the best choice BUT it's melting out fast.
