Lots of animal tracks, mostly rabbit or rabbit-sized critters.
Birds singing, midday down low - sign of Spring. |

Snowshoes went on after the ice bridge crossing, came off on return when below that. There are postholes, but I’ve seen worse; mostly they are off of the path. Of the 10 or so folks I saw today, prob half or more wore snowshoes. Start of hike to the ridge: more somewhat sticky snow; ridge to Flume, some of that and also snow more powdery.
Snowshoes mandatory for between Liberty and Flume. Not as many people have been here, so it’s less consolidated.
