 | Comments: |
Snow was crunchy as it had been cold for a bit. Below Freezing today. Water crossings had ice covered rocks, dry rocks, breakable ice, fast ( but not treacherous) running water, the whole bundle of challenges.
Minor ice flows up North or down South created challenges. Slow and steady. We carried snow shoes, but sharp spikes did the job start to finish. There were some snow shoe post holes. These must not have been fun at the time. but easy enough to get around. Raised packed trail in some spots. normal packed trail in most spots.
Hope this helps some of you. |
