Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The water crossings were a bit sketchy, I ended up chipping away ice in order to expose the rocks, and then I rock hopped. On the way down, I caught the snowmobile bridge (on the right) and opted for that short bushwack. Highly recommend

Comments
Comments: Got a late start to the day (11:30am) and the road walk was totally clear of snow. No snow on the trail for the first 2 miles or so. I barebooted 4.2 miles from the car, until I succumbed to a dramatic fall on the ice. Switched to rock microspikes and kept them on for the rest of the way. When I arrived at the summit, it began snowing. The snow covered all of the previously visible ice tracks, and also covered all of the previously visible ice, making the descent much more tedious. There was a lot of ice skating involved on the descent. I thought I got past all of the snow and took my spikes off around the same spot where I put them on. I took one step and immediately slipped on ice, so the spikes went back on and stayed on until I got past the water crossings (via the snowmobile bridge). The whole path was covered in snow, all the way to the car. Not sure how weather conditions will change things. All in all, there’s a very solid monorail, and very few portholes on trail.
