Really cool day looking at either objectives from the other. Little mountain was a breeze to get up to, followed by a somewhat flooded section of the parker trail. Once we got on cliff walk it was a little sporty, featuring a ladder and some rocky ice sections. We managed to avoid putting on microspikes in exchange for very methodically going up and down the icy parts, which were coincidentally also the steep parts.
Gap mountain had more snow than the stuff on monadnock since it was north facing, but less ice. Making both very doable in trail runners. Happy spring but still bring spikes! |
