Surprised a cow moose near summit of Mt. Randolph, practically tripping over it (about 15 feet from it). Very glad dog was on lead. A really nice hike. Almost no ice, still 4 -5" of compressed snow on summits, plus 2 inches of new stuff, which will likely melt in a day or two. |
