Dirt lot on Thompson Rd, room for maybe 10-12 cars +/-. Three upon arrival at 9am, about 6 early afternoon. |

Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |

Stepovers, plenty of water right now but staying within the banks. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Five blowdowns, two on Middle Mtn Tr before junction with Peaked Mtn Tr, both stepovers. One leaner and one old blowdown (stepovers)on the last 0.8mi section of Middle Mtn before the summit. One decent sized oak blowdown on Peaked Mtn Tr, scramble over. Also, the first 1/10th mi up Peaked Mtn summit spur had a lot of erosion on loose soil, this will wash out with heavy rain. More water bars could be used here and there on all trails, it rained hard last night and leafy debris piled up in many spots and water flow patterns obvious, sandy area could erode away in spots. |

A lovely loop, we did it counterclockwise. Nice views of Conway Lake and of the Presies from the top of Middle. Nice look back to Middle from Peaked, with views of the Moats.
The stream along Middle Mtn Tr was flowing well with little cascades along the way
A couple people out doing the loop, otherwise pretty quiet.
Temps in the 70s with strong sun today, lovely day to play hooky from work. |
