Comments
Comments: What a heavenly day to hike Mount Hale! Aside from a wearing a light second layer first thing in the morning for about a half mile, one layer was sufficient all day as temps were finally springlike. No snow to speak of on the trail until about 3/4 of the way up at roughly 3600' where a firm and easy to maneuver monorail began. Carried Microspikes but didn't feel the need to use them. The coolness radiating from the snow as well as the sun at the summit both felt wonderful!!
