Water Crossing Notes: One of us rock hopped and the other used plastic bags to cross on the 2 crossings before the Owl's head ascent. As long as you've got long legs and can hop, the crossings are fine.

Comments
Comments: All trails / bushwhacks are in very good shape. There were some muddy areas, but for most of the hike the trails are very dry. There was a slight monorail after the slide to just below the left turn to the summit, but not enough to need microspikes. There was still snow on the summit ridge, yet it was soft and we walked on it easily without any traction. Brutus was in very good condition with pretty solid footing even in the steepest parts.
