|
 | Recommended Equipment: |

|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Balance beams in the mud and standing water at the start of the trail. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Flooding at the start, 2 planks under 2" of water and lots of mude. Trees laid down in spots but trail is significantly widened from people trying to avoid mud. Higher up in the first mile trail is about 2 feet below grade due to erosion. In the last half mile below the summit there are lots of exposed tangled roots. Water diversion sorely needed. Blazes need redoing especially on the slabs. |

 | Bugs: |
Black flies are coming out! |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
Outdoors brand water bladder left at the parking lot. Abandoned tent (44.09512, -71.10059) on the side of the trail. Too heavy for our day packs bring z full backpack if you decide to retrieve it. Looks brand new just in expensive. |

Beautiful day as always with the sun in and out and the breeze mostly keeping the bugs away. We needed to pay close attention to our foot placement due to the rough and wet surfaces, especially in the tangled root section. Last time we hiked here it was winter and snow-covered so the rough surface was hidden. I think I liked that hike better! But it's such a great view spot on a sunny day, and we were tempted to just lie there and take a nap! |
