Comments
Comments: The north end of Imp Trail is well-packed up to the Face. From there to North Carter junction, my snowshoes are only the only recent passage, with about 6'' snow from earlier this week. North Carter Trail now is somewhat packed with three sets of tracks - me up and down, and another guy down. The ridge from the North Carter Trail to North Carter was unpacked and it now has two sets of tracks from me over and back. There is about a foot of powder. BE AWARE THAT THE CARTER-MORIAH TRAIL IN THIS AREA AND NORTH TOWARD MORIAH AND SOUTH TOWARD ZETA PASS IS CLOGGED WITH BENDOVERS FROM A HEAVY ICE LOAD UNDER THE SNOWLOAD. If you're headed that way this weekend, plan extra time to deal with under and over and through and around. Photos below if I did it right. JP
