Some additional signage could be helpful at unclear turns; there are also a lot of mountain bike trails out here. Signage indicates the trail name as Old Waterville Road and Old Waterville Road Trail. Sign at the northern terminus omits the total distance back to the Smarts Brook trailhead; only gives distance to Yellow Jacket Trail (1.4), which should be 1.7. |

Out-and-back on Old Waterville Road to check it for the next White Mountain Guide. Not too much to note here; just a pleasant and generally easy woods walk. Once past Upper Mad River Rd., the footbed is smooth for quick walking (and bikes). |
