Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Good sign, good info. I'm guessing, but since it is a snowmobile trail as well, snowmobilers are probably doing maintenance as well. Shelter and outhouse in great shape. Thanks to all.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Dogs would probably love this.
Bugs
Bugs: The bad: moderate mosquitoes, saw one tick. The good: gorgeous array of butterflies and dragonflies. One even landed on me.

Comments
Comments: Worth the drive. Peaked Hill Road (closed in winter) is in great condition..At the end of it is a large turnaround, providing good parking. Trail very gently ascends through a mostly hardwood, wee watered forest. There were many tiny streams crossing the trail midway. Some of them are probably verbal. Beautiful pond, the shelter is on the other side. Trail continues along the pond, and then a road continues to the right. Do not take it, stick to the yellow blazes

Open privy with a privacy screen and nicely crafted wooden commode. Shelter is in great condition, complete with a broom, rules, and etiquette suggestions on the wall. Thanks to whoever is maintaining this place. Fire ring in front. Would love to stay herr.
