Comments
Comments: Lowes Path is mostly dry, somewhat muddy down low. King ravine trail is a mix of dry and muddiness on the annoying contour section below Pentadoi and much drier above the Short line jct. Rocks in floor and headwall of ravine rather dry. Subway still had some small ice patches when I dropped pack at upper jct to do my lap. Very windy when topping out on Airline and on summit, calmed down below Thunderstorm jct. For Sam Adamstook a line straight at the high point crossing the rock seams from thunderstorm jct and then a weaving pattern up the NW side of the cone following a pretty obvious line. Small pile of quartz rocks atop marking summit. Angled SW off summit and followed rock seams of talus field back down to the cairns on Lowes path. Short side quest to the actual highpoint cairn on Abigail. Steep middle section of Lowes path surprisingly dry and marveled at the lovely rock staircase between Gray Knob cabin and the Log cabin
