Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The crossing right near the start on the Welch side of the loop was a bit high. I didn't bother looking for other areas to cross and managed to cross with mostly dry feet
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Two blowdowns on the Welch side. The first, a chainsaw-worthy birch, is just a short distance above the bog bridges after the brook crossing. The second, smaller spruce, is a shor distance below the first ledge viewpoint.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Some dogs may have trouble with the scrambling.
Bugs
Bugs: Not too bad today. The gusty wind helped
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing

Comments
Comments: Trails were wet from the overnight rain. Many areas were more like streams as the water drained off the ledges. Some areas of open ledge were beginning to dry out but were primarily wet the whole way. Luckily the ledge offers good grip so I never felt like I was going to slip. Excellent views as always from both peaks. Made the short trek out to the North view ledge on Dickey. Franconia Ridge was in the clouds.

Partly cloudy and windy with temps in the 60s. Glad the humidity broke!
