 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
This trail, a snowmobile route, has many, many drainages. They were were moving water off/across the trail, but need some raking to improve the flow. The trail sign at the start of Peaked Hill Rd. incorrectly indicates "Province Pond Trail". I recall one very small blowdown that can be dispatched quickly with a hand saw. |

First time on this trail. What a super easy way to get to a remote pond and backcountry USFS shelter! Perfect for a beginner backpacking trip. As expected, the trail itself was very wet and muddy. The shelter is in great shape and the stream right next to it was flowing well. Great views of the surrounding hills from the shore of the pond. |
