 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
None this route, although there are a number of minor drainage flows crossing the trail. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail is in good shape, overall, with no blowdowns to cross over or duck under. |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw one, well-behaved, enjoying the hike. |
 | Bugs: |
There may have been a few, but we did not really notice them. Up high, and especially out in the open by the trail junction, the air was quite cool and the breeze moved any remaining bugs along well. It's near the end of June, and I expect the black flies to be fading out anyway. |

Nice OTHH outing. Cloud cap on Washington. Eisenhower in and out, trending toward totally out with sun on it. There was a lot of water on the trail for most of the way, but nothing waterproof boots couldn't handle easily. Much or most of the mud was thin enough so we could walk over it. Without good footwear, however, the trail would be unpleasant right now. |
