Comments
Comments: We started early to avoid the heat and storms and were glad we did. Lots of people were coming down from the hut in the morning but things emptied out pretty quickly. Rocks were still pretty wet and slippery toward the hut, which made for a careful descent. Some standing mud and water in places due to the recent storms, but overall the trail was in good shape. It was a great morning for the views and having a leisurely lunch on the hut porch. It was breezy and cool and we didn’t want to go down! Next time we will stay overnight. The humidity closed in on us as we descended, and storms threatened but did not break. Wildflowers are blooming at the hut. Enjoy!
