Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The largest brook crossings on the Nineteen Mile Brook Trail are bridged. The uppermost brook crossing was an easy rock hop. The crossings on the Carter Dome Trail weren't difficult. Used some wet rocks.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: No tree fall obstructions on the Nineteen Mile Brook Trail and the Carter-Moriah Trail. There are some blow downs on the Carter Dome Trail that were easy to get over. One fallen tree on the Carter Dome Trail had its large branches cut to allow for easy passage. There are some gullies/trenches from erosion in places on each trail. Most notable was the trench just downhill from the height of land on the Nineteen Mile Brook Trail and the gullies on the steep stretch of the Carter-Moriah Trail below Mt Hight towards Zeta Pass.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Fine for dogs. One well behaved dog out on the trail today.
Bugs
Bugs: A few. Not bothersome.

Comments
Comments: I hiked the loop over Carter Dome and Mt Hight in a counterclockwise direction. This trip takes one over the highest point in the range and to the best viewpoint in the range.
The trails are generally dry. Every so often there were spots with a shallow flow of water on the trail. Not much mud including the path out to Mt Hight that is frequently wet/muddy.
Saw the flowers of three Blue Flag off the Nineteen Mile Brook Trail, Yellow Pond Lilies in Carter Pond, and lots of Bunchberries.
Good views at the edge of the pond, at the Pulpit Rock downview, and a short side path off the Carter-Moriah path north of the Carter Dome summit.
Great views from Mt Hight.
I was surprised not to meet any AT thru hikers or section hikers.
Met one AMC croo member from London England, AMC volunteer naturalist, and many local hikers.
