The parking lot at Lafayette Place was perhaps 3/4 full on arrival at 8am. Busy for a weekday, but it's summer. |

None that aren't bridged. |

Trails are in decent shape. The few old blowdowns still are there, but easily passed as though they were just more boulders. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
None on the trail. The steeps going up Kinsman Ridge trail after leaving Lonesome Lake trail would present some problems for many dogs, I think. Also, not much opportunity for water on much of our route. |

I don't think I was even buzzed once by anything, and I hadn't applied any repellent. |

Nice clockwise route to take in Cannon. Up Lonesome Lake, past the lake, onto Kinsman Ridge, up those steeps, then the easy 0.4 mile to the top, and finally back down Hi-Cannon. There were a good number of other hikers up there on the trails, but not so many as to make things busy with traffic. Nice relatively cool, dry air mass for the hike, with plenty of views. |
