Drove to the end of the spur road to the east of the peak, that follows the western side of Newell Brook. I don't recall much about the spur road, so it must have been OK. As others have noted, despite what maps show, this spur road does not connect to the north. Newell Brook rd is a 15-20 MPH rd for most of it. |

We started off on the old logging path, overgrown with raspberries and fairly quickly ducked into the woods. Woods were generally good and we found some old woods roads and blue flagged drainage that we followed up. We hit the northern ridge around 2075 and found ourselves in thick low growth logged areas for a bit, then more on and off old woods roads. Found the summit and jar, then headed down more ENE than our ascent in pretty good woods. This was one where the main logging is more harmful than helpful.
About 35 mins up, 20 mins down.
