 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails in great shape. Trail from tower to East summit could use a bit of work: couple of small step over blow downs, and trail could use a brushing. Bottom of Ranger (just before parking lot) was the only wet muddy spot, but it was probably the best ever. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Cody had a blast. There is a stream along side the parking lot; great for a drink and a final cool down/ wash off before jumping in the car. But once on the Lambert trail, there is no water for pups; make sure to bring some. There was no water on the Ranger trail until the trail parallels the stream about a mile from the end; again, more water. Overall trail is pretty easy for pups. |

Great hike, hot day, but some clouds helped reduce sun on ledges. Trails were very dry!! No water any where on Lambert, and the mud spots on Ranger were mostly harder squishy mud that doesn't even stick to your boots. There were a few slightly wetter sections, but all water and mud was easily avoided until the very final 500 yds. Others on the summit were returning on Lambert because the book they were reading told them Ranger was always wet; not today. Must be as good as it gets! |
