minor crossings on slippery rocks (it had been raining) at break in beautiful stone wall |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Shows very little use. Lots of deadfall and some larger I could not move. Lots and lots of ankle-grabbing branches on trails. |

why not? |

 | Bugs: |
There were a few mosquitoes but the real issue was the ground bee nest I must have stirred by running by - go a nasty ankle sting that even a half-hour later is very painful. That was near the junction of the Abenaki Way Trail and the Monadnock Vista Trail. Not exactly sure where it was but they were swarming after I got hit - I wasn't sure what direction to run in. |

Super pleasant place to explore (my first time here) - beautiful woods, mossy paths, and ancient stone walls. Climbs around 200' over a half mile. Doing all the trails/view spurs/loop out and back was about 1.7 miles. Not sure if there really was a view of Monadnock as everything was pretty socked in. |
