Steve drove and his truck handled the dips like a boss. There were plenty of cars in the lot upon our return so regular vehicles should have no problem. |

All the blowdowns that I encountered last time have been cleared. Huge thanks to everyone who helped clear them. The trail is in such nice shape. |

Kirby and Raider were having a great day and we crossed paths with them several times. But then it got even better! Darby arrived and I got my Darby snuggle fix. This is a terrific route for dogs. Great footing all the way up and down. |

What a nice way to start the week! Steve and I had coordinated schedules to ensure that he got August gridded out in style and he finished that today. Congratulations to him and thanks for being the bomb to hike with. The trail is in near perfect shape right now. Mostly dry with a few small muddy areas. We saw quite a few happy and friendly hikers who indulged us with the gift of their time to chat, because Steve and I never stop talking. It was great to see Eric again for our weekly meet up on trail. |
