 | Water Crossing Notes: |
It's been dry all summer, all water crossing on Falling Waters, Liberty Spring, and Flume Slide trails were easy rock hops. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Nothing that comes to mind. All trails free and clear at the moment. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Only the most experienced mountain dogs should go up Flume Slide Trail. All other trails are fine for dogs. Bring plenty of water for them as there is none high up and along the ridge. |

 | Comments: |
Mainly posting to let people know access to Skookumchuck trailhead remains open as of 8/16, see above.
All trails are in good shape. Falling Waters, Liberty Springs, and Franconia Ridge between Little Haystack and Lafayette were crowded as expected on a perfect Saturday weather day. All other trails were quiet when I was on them. Great day below and above the notch, best of both worlds - solo solitude to party people vibe.
