Comments
Comments: Entered woods in an opening and began contouring upwards. Hit some thick spruce patches and navigated around them. Mix of ferns, hobblebush, pencil pines. After 1.5 hrs arrived at canister and found Mobil oil can at base of tree. Register with lots of loose leaf papers. Although current register not full, left a new spiral notebook which should hold up better. We descended along ridge to col which was pretty open. Hit one thick spruce patch at 2650 feet but we should have gone around it. 2.1 miles, 700 ft elevation, took us a total of 3 hrs including 1 hr lunch break.
