Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The parking lot was almost full at 6:45am. By the time I finished, the cars were also on the road.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Super easy rock hops right now.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There are a few blowdowns that require stepping over and one that requires ducking under, although there is now a herd path going around it.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No puppers seen today but this would be a great route for them if they are up the longer day. After the water crossing there is no additional water for them so bring extra.
Bugs
Bugs: Mosquitoes were welcoming down low. Up high they were not an issue.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing lost and nothing found.

Comments
Comments: I am trying to balance out my G2 spreadsheet a bit better than I did G1 so I wanted to get another month of Carrigain under my belt so I don't wind up with back to back months next year. This was a great day for it. I passed quite a few hikers on my way up and all were super friendly. There were 4 on their way down as I ascended. The trail is mostly dry with the exception of the usual muddy areas where there are rocks placed for stepping. All the rocks on misery mile were nice and dry which allowed for a faster ascent. Somehow I managed to get the tower all to myself and it was delightfully windy up there. I enjoyed the views, awesome clouds, and winds and a few of my favorite sponsor's energy balls before heading down. I passed quite a few hikers heading up as I headed down and everyone seemed to be having a great day. The hike went by way too quickly today but what a great day it was!
