The trails were wet with leaves and lots of roots throughout which made for slippery travels. I only saw two yellow blaze spots on my entire trip some sections around the brook areas are hard to discern where the trail is because of the leaves and the wet conditions so using all trails or any GPS is definitely recommended. I enjoyed finally getting to see this cabin on be seen online for years. . Very unique and I went inside to check it out. .Definitely a good spot to stop.. Mount Cabot is a viewless summit surrounded by trees.. There are two viewing points that offer decent views. I did enjoy hiking through the many red, yellow, orange leaves that fell and filled up the trails and on the trees for excitement scenery. Not too difficult of a hike, but the wet leaves, rocks, mud, and the many roots makes for tedious foot placements. I did slip one time, but nothing damaged. Overall i enjoyed this hike and everyone I met today hiking. Plus the gate was wide open when I left around 6:00 pm today.
