Comments
Comments: mt nancy via nancy pond trail, herd path. started getting into some snow and ice half way up cascades. snow was about 1 ft deep along trail to nancy pond. no snow from norcross pond to summit. used yaks along cascades and nancy pond. some post holling where snow is getting very soft. if we get rain, the trail along nancy pond will be mucky. took herdpath at far end of norcross pond. take right at end of pond and follow trail for about 100yds and bear left. the path skirts the hillside and then goes up while paralelling a gravel slide about 20 yds to the left of the path. soon the path meets up with the remains of the gravel slide. go up the right hand side narrow rockface for about 150 ft and the path will be on the right and now starts heading away from the remains of the slide and rockface. i first missied the path going off to the right and was in deep spruce. went back to the tip of the slide and picked up where i missed the right. from here, path is easy to follow to summit. great views of the north from summit looking at presidents, mt field and crawford notch. 48/48, 74/100
