 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I was vehicle #3 at the end of Belknap Mtn. Rd. this morning and when I got back there was still room. I was kinda surprised at that given the gorgeous day. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Whiteface Mtn. Trail: Blazes need attention with most markings being worn off. Piper-Whiteface Link: Blazes could be touched up. Vista Trail: Blazing along the upper ridge could use some touchups; descending to Swett, markings are mostly good except at the end of the trail, where it could be confusing where the path terminates; old green blazes remain from when this section was known as Swett Mtn. Trail before Vista Trail was extended. |

A visit to Swett Mtn. this morning, which I had not visited for several years. This route also provided a much needed ledge walking fix, in addition to good foliage color.
Totally dry conditions the entire way with no concerns for slipping on wet ledge. Bright blue skies and the foliage color is still decent. Despite the weather, I only saw a few other folks out enjoying the morning. A perfect autumn day in the Belknaps! |
