Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Trestle Brook Mtn (Deer Mtn West Peak): Indian Stream Road to East Branch Road for 2 miles. Parked at pull off across from Woods Brook Road. The first few hundred feet of Woods Brook Road were very rutted and washed out so we could not drive it with our mid-clearance SUV (Kia Sportage). Jobbers Brook North (Monument 500 & 501): Indian Stream Road to Perley Road for 1.7 miles, then left on Bob’s Way which was a bit rough. At 1 mile on Bob’s way there was a steep section with washout along the side which required careful driving in our mid-clearance SUV (Kia Sportage). At 1.1 miles we drove up to a logging landing, east of the peak.

Comments
Comments: Trestle Brook Mtn (Deer Mtn West Peak): Walked on Woods Brook Road for 0.8 miles. At logging landing, followed logging road with lots of young whippy growth to 2300 feet. Bushwhacked southeasterly bypassing the northern shoulder through fairly open wet & soggy woods. Followed the ridge to the summit. Took us 1:45 hr to summit. There was a small glass jelly jar with orange duct tape. We hung a wider mouthed jar with pink duct tape, new register, ziplock bag, and pencils. Descended the same way. 3.2 miles with 820 feet of gain took us 2:40 hr.

Jobbers Brook North (Monument 500 & 501): We followed an overgrown, very wet logging road 0.4 miles, then bushwhacked east through open woods to the summit jar which is located on the northern end of the summit ridge. Jar did not have any bright colored tape. New register recently placed 9/6/2026. Took us 45 min to summit. Descended approximately the same way we ascended. Total 1.4 miles, 380 feet elevation, took us 1:30 hr. Jar would benefit from some bright orange duct tape to help others more easily locate it.
