 | Comments: |
Trail was a mix of wet leaves, some water running down trail, some mud - lots of rocks. Rocks were wet but with some grip. Ledges up high were grippy - no problems. The summit was totally fogged in, cold and windy. Trees on top were covered with rime ice but ledge was not. No problem going down just be careful picking your way and thanks to the trees in the ledges to hang on to. Poles were helpful.
Met over 20 people on the way down and 2 men in shorts on the way up. Key takeaway was that we should have started later to let the fog burn off and reveal the wonderful view of Mt. Washington. Good day with friends. |
