 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
3 down across the trail on SB. the 1st one is easily ducked under now...with snow, not so much. the second one is larger limbs partially blocking the trail. signs of folks going around it, but we just bobbed in weaved thru it. the 3rd. a large birch, can step over. I think there was 1 on CM that I actually crawled under. more limber folks could probably just squat under it. new blazes on SB...awesome. Thank you. |

 | Lost and Found: |
nada. though we did cross paths with 2 other hikers on their way up who asked us if we had lost a bright and shiny Leatherman tool. they said it was just lying in the trail (SB). we didn't see it on the way up, but it wasn't ours. |

it has been decades since I hiked SB, so I had no working knowledge of what to expect. footbed wasn't too filled in with leaves and all the ledges were dry. pretty windy on top, but warm. we didn't stay long since we could see rain in the distance and thought we would get rained on, but for a few sprinkles, we stayed dry all the way back to the car. the descent felt way longer than the ascent, but it's been awhile since I've done 10 miles and I was feeling it. |
