After a super fun morning paddling sunshine's little river in Goffstown for the dam draw-down, I headed to this wonderful little area for some easy trail running to stretch the legs. Falls were running nicely. Found some more logging artifacts I had not seen before (sled runner and cables) in addition to a very old set of rock footings for an old bridge I presume and ancient barrels. I never see anyone here. This time, I went across Elbow Pond Rd and went another .5 miles on what looked like a snowmo trail but turned back when I saw cottages on Elbow Pond. Overall, about 4 miles RT and 200+ feet of elev gain. Falls were running - so pretty!!!! Thankfully someone had cut out the large trees blocking the falls. How did they do that?????? |
