Ascended the ski trails to the herd path above the chairlift to avoid leaves. Trails were mostly dry without significant leaf covered thereafter. Ground was frozen, but did not encounter any snow or ice on the hiking trails.
There is snow at the end of the Sosman Trail (from snowmaking two weeks ago), but it is a flat patch. The patches below there in the High Country can be avoided. Manmade patches are anywhere from a few inches to a couple of feet deep. Ski trails have been mowed.
Beautiful, crisp morning with clear skies, a breeze, and temperatures climbing from the 30s to the 50s. |
