Comments
Comments: Stellar weather day, very warm below no wind. Above 5000ft winds were chilly and really blowing. Caps Ridge is always an ass kicker, but great views today. Raincoat went on due to the wind chill. Didn’t linger on top as it was really blowing. Found a spot somewhat sheltered for lunch then the rocky hike around Clay. Off & on winds, bright sun comfortable temps. Tough going hiking into the wind, slow going. Washington was having its own weather event early, clouds were boiling but it had cleared when I arrived. I don’t know what the winds were but had to be 40-50 mph. Saw only 8 others on top & again found a sheltered spot for food. Once back to the Cog layers came off. Very steep down, only 1 other seen before the final descent. No snow or ice seen, spikes went for a ride.

I lucked out & received 2 rides today. 1st on Jefferson Notch & the 2nd on Base Rd! Big thank you to all 4 women for stopping! I will be paying this back.

Finished my 8th round on Washington. Finished spreading my father’s ashes on all 48 on Jefferson.
